US Open
June 30th, 2007
Hello everyone!! (no I didn’t forget to write!! Just been busy!)
Last week was a lot of fun but I have to admit that I was very nervous being in one of the last couple of groups. Great experience though and I hope to continue on with the higher finishes!
The Open has been fun so far and very HOT! Lots of humidity in the air along with the sun—makes AJ sweat a lot. Yuck! Then throw in some thunder and lightening and you have quite a show!
The first round was interupted by some stormy weather as we got to sit in the clubhouse for 3 hours. The USGA updated us every 30 minutes–only to tell us to keep waiting. Fun times!
I played very solid the first day though and was extremely pleased with the results of even par. But of course the early morning did not seem to go as smoothly. Opps! I played hard yesterday in the second round and managed to hold it together–finished with a birdie! yaa!
Now it is the waiting game. Watching the internet/scores and see where I fair. I am sure many of you are doing the same thing! Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers for me:) I can hear them all!
For now, my mom and I are relaxing and watching Wimbledon. Love to watch tennis and it is a great show so far!
I will update you when I know more but for now thanks for checking on me!
Have a great weekend!
Love AJ

AJ,
M/C by one stroke!!!..Now that you can taste it hope you are playing in Ohio and N.Y. and then great things at Edmonton..Noticed your driving at the Open was below average which no doubt impacted the GIR’s…Great putting!!!…
I admired Cristie Kerr the way she won the Cdn. Open here in London, much the same as on the weekend..I think your games, personalities etc. are somewhat similar..
Trust your swing and keep the momentum going,
Doug…
