New York New York!!

May 15th, 2007

Hello there! And Happy Belated Mother’s Day to all those moms out there!

I am in New York–actually just outside of it in New Jersey, for the Sybase tournament.  I am looking forward to this week as it is a course just like my home course in BC, Penticton Golf & CC.  Small space between greens and tee boxes and lots of trees to line the fairways!  Sweet eh??

I am hitting the ball much better this week and am going to play all 4 days!  My new caddie is helping me out as well.  He is from the Nationwide-PGA tour and he is sharing lots of his knowledge with me.  Oh, and he is cracking me up out there as well—which is always a good thing to keep me loose out on the course.  He is from Australia originally but lives in AZ(another good point!).  His name is Shane McInnes.  Be sure to give him a HI if you are out watching.

The rough is pretty long here, so best to stay out of it.  The weather might be cool later on in the week as well, so they are testing us up here near the Big City.  Please keep your fingers crossed though and pray that I stay relaxed from the first hole on:)  That is going to be the key this week.

Hope you are all well and hitting it smooth.  Short backswings and focus on the target!

Best wishes, AJ

PS  Don’t forget to practice your putting and chipping lots too!

    AJ,

As a member of UMCC and a volunteer this week at the event I can tell you that the rough is vicious and watch out for them trees! :) Anyway, I was snooping around the lpga site and found yours and wanted to wish you best of luck this and great success on your career! We UMCC’ers are very honored and pleased to host the LPGA and hope you enjoy our course!

Maybe a little eye candy will help keep the ball straight!
