Corona Morelia
April 25th, 2007
Hola everyone!
I am here in beautiful Morelia, Mexico, this week. The course is quite the walk as there are hills that no golfers should have to walk up! I just hope I hit it in the correct spots so I can get the cart rides:)
Things are going well and I am just trying to get myself through a bit of a cold. I guess keeping busy and never slowing down will do that to you–runs you down a bit. But hey, I love to keep busy so I don’t mind the odd cough now and then. Other than that, I did get a chance to work with my coach on Sunday morning. We managed to work through a few things. I need to work harder to get this golf swing under control. I am going to do that and great things will start to happen! Shorter and more compact is the goal!
I am going to play the next 7 events in a row. It will be a grind but also fun to get on a role. Hard to play one event and then have a week or so off. I am going to make sure that things start to click and I will give everyone a chance to see me at the top!
Talk to you all soon and happy swinging!
All the best to you, AJ

AJ,
Round 1 must have been an experience..Forget the “stay in that moment”, forget that round and am sure you will suck it up for Round 2…
Positives–1) Nice start, 3 birdies on the front, 4 birdies after 10..
–2) Par is 73 so only 11 over, –3) last time you will have only 4 pars in a round, –4) last time you will have 5 doubles in a round, –5) 84 beat my last score by 1…
Hang in there, keep smiling, take care, Doug…
