It is official that I am back in the practice mode again! I went up to Las Vegas last week to see my coach and he gave me the thumbs up on the swing! Now I just have to continue to work and get stronger, as well as become more confident. I know I can do it…just takes time. Doesn’t everything though??
I must say a big HOORAY for my coach! Trevor won the Best Instructor in Vegas from the Vegas Golfer Magazine. I think that is just awesome!! Way to go buddy! Of course, I would have voted for him anyways, but I didn’t get a say:)
I played my second full round of golf today and managed to finish without too many ‘opps’ shots. I am allowing myself a few of those a round as it sometimes just feels awkward. Now I know all of you know what I am talking about! ha ha Sometimes you feel like trying it with a left handed club or upside down–just to change the karma!?
That is all I can think of for now, just wanted to put a little update in for all you out there that care! Thanks for reading! I promise lots of fun and good finishes next year–time to have some real fun!
Hope everyone had a great American Thanksgiving(since the Canadians already did that:))! I came back from Vegas and had to sleep—weird how Vegas does that to you eh? Anyway, I had a good time there with my coach and my friend Jon.
Take care and keep warm this winter! Remember to keep stretching as that will help you when the snow goes away and you pick up the clubs again. Strange how the body can just tense up when it sits on a couch and relaxes for a month or two!
Bye bye, Love ya, AJ

Hello everyone! It has been a bit of time since I last wrote. I am sorry–but, hey, it is my off season! Any way, things are looking good as I have regained the playing golf status again. I went to hit balls this weekend, with my friend Michelle Estill, and the result was very positive. I hit about 40 balls or so, mostly with my sandwedge. A little rusty to start with, but once I got a little bit of tempo and rhythm going, all felt natural! YAAA (and as my coach Trevor Derrheim would say, ‘Tempo is most important!!’)
I do have the itch to play, but of course, I should still wait a few more days, or weeks, as some would say. I will be playing it by ear for now. I did manage to hit a few longer clubs yesterday just to test the waters and there was no real pain…just tightness. Only reason being is that my wrist hasn’t been in that position in quite some time. It was almost 3 months without swinging a club! Crazy, but to tell you the truth, I really enjoyed it!
I am still doing my work for GameandFishGuides.com and am going to stick with it until I have all the states in there. It is fun building up a website and seeing how big and how good it can be! Perhaps something will come of it and it will become my new thing—oh ya, I have to keep up with my own website, right?? ha ha
Other than that, I am continuing to do my workouts with my trainor, Glenn Steele, at Velocity, 3 times a week. He kicks my butt, and it needs to be kicked right now!:) trust me. I hope everyone is doing well and getting all their Christmas shopping in early! I have just started to think about it. It sure does creep up on you, doesn’t it?? I will be going home to Mom and Dad’s this year. Hopefully see a little snow! I love the warm winters in Phoenix, but it is nice to play in the snow for a day or two!:)
OK, back to work I must go and then off to the range! Fun times! Take care of yourselves and keep in touch!
Love ya, AJ
